Mr Dean Mistry FRACS
Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon

Dean graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1999. After successfully graduating from the New Zealand Orthopaedics Association’s advanced surgical training programme he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009.

Dean underwent extensive subspecialty training in spine surgery at both the Spinal Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and at the British Columbia Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. He has also spent a year in practice as an Adult Spine Surgeon at Wellingon Public Hospital.

Dean has interests in all aspects of spinal pathology and treatment, both operative and non-operative. He performs procedures on lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine pathology such as microdiscectomy instrumented fusions, ACDF and laminoplasty.

We have an incredible range of skills and technology on site - fellow Orthopaedic Surgeons covering the range of practice, comprehensive radiology services including MRI and interventional radiology, pain specialists and physiotherapists all in the same building.
